It was a daaarlin' day... a daaarlin' day

I'm haven't blogged in ages D: nooooo
I do believe its time for a much needed blog :)

Last Wednesday, 19th October, all of TY went into town (Dublin) for the whole day. Might I add it was one of the best things in TY so far :)
After another fun bus trip (buzzin wih evry1), Fodla went to the National Library first. It was basically a room with a lot of touch screens and posters with information on them - if it was the National Library, where the books? o.O We also had a worksheet to do -_- FUUUN
Next, was the National History  Museum ... 5 steps away. This was sooo good :D Spent the time sitting in fireplaces, gagging at Bog Bodies and pretending to wear torcs (celtic necklaces) Strangely, I wanna go there again. Me and Fiona also spent our time browsing the gift store for farmer hats, kids toys and crosses. Back into the point about bog bodies - yes they were disgusting but it was so weird and yet amazing that their hair was in perfect condition!! :o
Lastly, we went to a W. B. Yeats exhibition, which I suppose was good... it was definitely interesting seeing as I studied Yeats for my Junior Certificate. :)

Then LUNCHTIME :D :D and a trip to Mc Donalds :P onomnomnomnom <3
I got chocolate milkshake, double cheeseburger, 6 chicken nuggets, fries and twisty fries ... heaven

After, it was time for the reason we came to town - Sean O'Casey's 'Juno and the Paycock'.
It was AMAZING! I've never been to a proper play (Wicked doesn't count) but I'm seriously considering going to more soooooon! The set was so realistic and there was so much attention to detail - they cooked real sausages on stage and the audience could smell them!!!! Not to mention the acting - my favourite actors were Jerry, Mrs Madigan and of course ... Johnny <3 played by the swoon inducing Ronan Rafferty

All in all, it was such a good day :D and theres some pretty entertaining pictures to go with it ;)

UM YEAH BYE.

Getting the "Lucozade Shakes" and Scrambled Eggs

Ok, this is gonna be my last post in relation to Blog Action Day.
I'm finally going to try and be serious... lets see how this goes.

See the whole point of the topic of Food for Blog  Action Day is to raise awareness on how people in the developed world take the food we eat for granted. I know I do! So last year I did a 24 hr fast to see what its like for people less fortunate than me.
You're advised to go from breakfast to breakfast but being the wild child that I am, I went from dinner to dinner. It started out ok but then lunchtime in school came and it was hell! Everyone around me was eating something and I was just sitting there twiddling my thumbs. I felt so lighheaded and cranky in the last few classes of school and my stomach felt so strange being so empty. I drank 2 lucozades (energy drink) because I honestly thought I was going to keel over :o Then about an hour later I got what I like to call the "Lucozade Shakes". My hands and legs were shaking so much that I had to sit down and stop writing the homework I was doing! It was the weirdest and also the scariest feeling ever but I still had 3 hours left to do.
The scrambled eggs and toast I had when the fast was over was possibly the best meal I've ever had!!

It was strange to see the effect that no food had on my body after only 24 hours of  not eating. It made me think of how tough it must be for those people in the developing world who have to go days without food!

I would definitely recommend everybody to do a 24hr fast at some point in their life cause it really opens your eyes to a lifestyle complete different than what you'd be used to and it also makes you realise that you should be grateful of what you've been giving :)

I present to you... the stuff of my dreams...

WARNING: you are about to get an extreme crave for the amaaaazing food mentioned below - be prepared.

This post was in response to Blog Action Day :)

Murphy's Law

Of course on Blog Action Day my internet decides to be mean and basically give up on me. UGH!
A lot of people came up to me today asking whether I had blogged or not seeing as all I do is blog :o (cool person right thuuur) So I guess this is my post begging my blog to forgive me for neglecting it on the most important day of its life :'( I'm sorry blog *hug it out*
Anyways... the topic of Blog Action Day is Food.  omnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom

EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!!

Our amazing dance moves and incredible stunts ;) Proud to be a Fódlian!
Sorry about the misspelling of Fódla in the title of the video... *cough* Caitriona *cough*

HAS HELL FROZEN OVER??

I cannot believe I'm saying this but I'm actually grateful for going to St. Wolstan's :O whaaaaaa??

The reason behind this sudden outburst of love toward my educational institution is that compared to other schools, its so SAFE :o
Ok, that is a bit exaggerated but in Religion we watch "Educating Essex" on 4od and it completely shocked me! There was a girl called Gaby on it and she was the Head Girl of the school. She was getting bullied and isolated just for succeeding and then she got this really creepy text one night that was like "I can see you sleeping". But, it turns out it was just her friends playing a joke :)

My favourite part of the programme ?
MR. DREW
I think I'm in love ^.^ He is possibly the most amazing teacher in the world. When he was giving out to students he wasn't menacing or rude - he was firm, fair and the students actually listened to him! He spoke to them like they were adults not idiotic children and he didn't have favourites.
Every teacher in the world should take a leaf out of his book!!

Anyhoo... SO LONG MY CYBER FRIENDS

At least chocolate will heal my sorrow...

*Sniff Sniff*

Well, totes unforch, we didn't win the Fun Walk in the end :'( but the amazing Ms. O'C said we'd have a party anyway ... with FOOD (waheey :D)

I suppose I should be the bigger person and congratulate Banba for winning... well done builders. I'm being as sincere as possible, I swear.

This is where I leave you...

Shhtuff

Like every other week in T.Y., this week was packed with stuff to do.
T.Y. IS NOT A DOSS/EASY/LAID-BACK YEAR! Ok??

By Friday I have to:
  • Finish Switzerland in my Geography project (not done)
  • Write a Proposal about our Mini Company to the principal (Check!)
  • Learn Fun Walk Dance (HELL YEAUH)
  • Finish watching episode 2 of "Educating Essex" (a documentary about a school shows stories about people who are being bullied and features the most legendary Year Head in the world!- Mr. Drew)
  • Go to Donegal (not exactly educational unless you count the fact that its a Gaeltacht area but its sure to be a buzz anyways ;D )
Until we meet again....
BYE.

"OOOOO FRIENDS"

Tis Anti-Bullying Week in school this week which means its basically a week when friendship and no bullying is promoted ... oh and our Deputy Head reads out friendship quotes over the intercom (  )

But the best thing about this week is that on Friday every class school is going to perform a dance in front of the rest of the school! :) Us Fódla heads have been practicing for about 3 weeks and well...our dance is pretty epic - not meaning to brag or anything :P
T.Y.'s always put the most effort in so I can't wait to see the other classes' dances! :D
We're dancing to "Absolutely Everybody" and "Everybody Dance Now" (dun, dun, dun, dun, dun) so its gonna be bleedin' MASSO BAYUUBZ.

CHOW.

*Cyber high five if you know where I got the title from...you cool person, you.*

RAVING IN NAAS

This post is dedicated to the one and only... Emma.
No words can describe the effect you have on me.

Moving on, its time to explain my title. We were legit raving on the bus to Naas as we headed to a Mini Company talk. Me and my raving bus buddy, Aisling, spent the ride listening to ABSO CHOOOONS.
Our Playlist:
  1. Eminem - Ass Like That
  2. DJ Cammy
  3. DJ Rankin - Raver
  4. Chamillionaire
  5. Pussycat Dolls
  6. DJ Sammy
  7. Kanye West - Golddigger
Those brought back fond memories of our lives as the kids of the noughties. :')
To be honest, the talk actually helped a lot! St. Wolstans kinda took over the whole place though :/
Some of the ideas in our year are amazing... I'm definitely gonna be buying some of the products other groups are making!! My group is me, Fiona, Aoife G, Emma D and Aisling D woop de woop :L
We basically just spend out time laughing and being bebo stunnahs.
So far our idea is both providing a low cost ipod cover customising service and also supplying a set to allow you to customise your own cover yourself.
Hopefully, we're gonna develop the idea further...like the amazing Emma had an idea to make a dent in the cover to wrap your headphones into ^.^
But, we shall see ;)

BOI GUISE

ALMOND EVERY WHERE I SMELL eeeeewwwwww

HAI GUISE,

time for a serious post ... LOLZ

Anyhoo today Laura and I (*good english high five*) had to make these Chinese sesame cookies.
I'm not lying when I tell you they were disgusting. I couldn't even swallow it. YUCK.

But, for some unfathomable reason (*double good english high five*), other people liked them o.O
So, I only have a few left now :D

Until we meet again...

...in about 30 seconds.
